PATENT 1

DESCRIPTION OF AN INDUSTRIAL INVENTION TITLED “AMPLIFICATION OF THE WIND ACTION TO PRODUCE ELECTRIC POWER”

The wind towers and the windmills are currently and for many years utilizing the natural speed of the wind.

It is known for a long time that to an increase of the linear speed of the wind corresponds an exponential production of energy; therefore it is convenient to augment the energy production by increasing the natural speed of the wind through amplification.

The present patent of industrial invention is aimed to “capture” the natural wind, convey it in multiple trunk-conic pipes (from a larger to a smaller section) in order to increase the wind speed and therefore produce more power (see the drawing).

A helix or a rotor is inserted into the smaller section of the pipe in order to transform the energy or pressure of the wind in mechanic energy, which is transferred to a dynamo or generator to obtain electric power.

The system described here works also at low wind speed, while the wind towers currently used need high speed of the wind to win the friction and the inertia of the machine.

This patent of invention, which amplifies the wind action or speed of the wind, is especially indicated to be installed on roofs, flat roofs and wind plants in windy areas.

The environmental impact of the system described here is smaller compared to the impact of the wind towers (smaller size and easier to hide).

The wind amplificatory is composed of a trunk-conic pipe (1), where the wind enters from the larger section and is directed to the smaller section. This passage increases the wind speed and turns the helix or rotor (5) producing mechanic energy, which activates through a transmission shaft (6) a dynamo or generator (7), finally producing electric power.

The trunk-conic pipe (2) opposed to the trunk-conic pipe (1) has the purpose to expand the previously compacted air and speed it up besides to facilitate its expulsion.

The trunk-conic pipe (3) has the rational to create a depression and ease the air expulsion.

The cone-shape of the trunk-conic pipes (1, 2 and 3) will have to be optimized according to the wind tunnel in order to gain the maximum speed of the air and consequently maximize the production of electric power.
